Some say they are the One Direction of New Zealand with their pitch perfect harmonies, fun songs, beautifully synchronised outfits and ability to make the girls swoon… but Moorhouse are so much (cue the terrible pun) more than a typical boyband. Watching them live on stage made me realise how talented these boys really are. Not only do they have slick choreography and sound great, but they were full of life, awesome with their fans and most importantly, humble.
What happens when you put 12,000 screaming teenage girls in an arena? Chaos.
Was the chaos worth it? Totally.
When my friend offered me a ticket to the One Direction concert at Vector Arena, I couldn’t resist it.
As soon as the five boys stepped out onto the stage, I knew I was in for a treat. Not only were they note-perfect, personable and total babes, but they also had admirable stamina as they jumped/danced across the stage 90% of the concert.
The show was mainly narrated by Niall, who I always assumed to be the shier one, but proved me wrong as he was confident and witty. They even performed a Haka (said with a British accent) and commented on how much they liked our sheep 🙂 Everyone in the arena was on their feet dancing the whole 3 hours and the wave of glow-sticks was absolutely magical!
Best songs: 1. Summer Love, 2. Best Song Ever
Here are a few shots I took at the concert (prints available for purchase, please email me at olivia.round1@gmail.com or leave a comment below)
I love you Harry Styles.
Three very excited girls!
We even got to hang out with the Aussie warm up act – Five Seconds of Summer before the concert!
Let me know what you thought of the concert – and if you ever get the chance to see One Direction perform live, I would definitely recommend going, they are AMAZING!
