Olivia Round NZFW | Weekend Highlights + Trelise Cooper

This year I had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely and talented Dame Trelise Cooper after her gorgeous show. I have photographed her fashion week shows for seven years now (you can see the 2013 coverage here) and this year was yet another success. Trelise, you were an absolute joy to chat to and I wish you all the best for your overseas adventures and look forward to working with you again in future. Here’s the video:

Weekend Highlights:
The long haired male models. Gone are the days of top knots and man buns, now men are growing it out 2001 Johnny Depp style. Particular reference to Clyne models Hunter and Karl who look like members of an indie rock band and are often mistaken for brothers.

Trelise Cooper's show is always a highlight. The three collections told us the story of her adventures in Versailles through the use of spring florals, Twiggy inspired sunglasses and Marie Antoinette hairstyles. The Cooper brand appeals and flatters all ages through beautiful cuts and fabrics to fresh and original prints. The COOPER white floral dress and overcoat was my pick of the show.

The Strangely Normal collection, was strangely – not normal, which the audience loved. Models walked out personifying David Attenborough with binoculars and safari hats or James Dean in tartan pants with a tucked in merino and blouson jacket. A fun collection with great roots of inspiration.

And that’s fashion week done for my 7th year now… Crazy how time flies… Keep an eye out on my facebook page and instagram for more videos to come.

But for now enjoy this beautiful spring sunshine and stay classy!
