3 Courses of Yoghurt

It’s hard to think another frozen yoghurt place would survive the competition of the froyo boom that’s taken over Auckland this past year. However, Whites & Co. is no ordinary yoghurt place, which I think is what makes them successful amongst the 7 other yoghurt stores in the CBD. Think gourmet. Think the Kapiti of icecream or the Food Truck of fast-food. Think it’s your cup of tea? Keep reading.

The great thing about Whites & Co., is the fact you can have a 3 course meal there – which is what I did.

First I tried the smoothie for an entrée. It was not too sweet and tasted healthy (which is a very good start being the health-nut I am). The vibrant colours are also beautifully instagrammable.

Then I tried some greek yoghurt with kiwifruit, strawberries, coconut and passionfruit syrup. Oh. My. Gosh. It’s like dessert for breakfast. And as for the coffee, I’m from Wellington (and down there we’re all coffee snobs), but totally approve of their roasters Eight Thirty. Nice choice!

Once I had the healthy option, I was offered a froyo – and being the sweet-toothed girl I am, I went for vanilla with chocolate sauce, chocolate brownie and strawberries. It was such a good combo that the guy next in line asked for the same as me. And let me tell you, it tasted even better than it sounds (if that’s possible). Do you have food-fomo yet?

Here’s the outfit I wore to eat my froyo – Outfit shots by Maggie Gould Photography

So I encourage you to try out Whites & Co. – whether you prefer sweet or savoury, I can guarantee you will find something that takes your fancy, trust me on that one! Just look at these delicious toppings…

Anyway, I’m off to the gym now… (haha who am I kidding, I’m almost due another yoghurt) but make sure to swing by next time you’re in the city.
